This map was created in honor of 7-year-old Ethan Villavicencio, who died after being hit by a car that backed up into a restaurant at Pelham Bay.  It illustrates points at which a vehicle backed up unsafely and caused an accident requiring NYPD attention, from 2012 to 2015. Black points represent individual incidents, and the colored "heat spots" represent areas where the problem is most clustered.

Note that some locations are outside of Community Board 10. This is because the data available from NYC Open Data, acquired June 2015, allows to sort by zip code only.
